Theoretical work and research about on-screen typefaces, hinting and rasterizing. The book is separated in three chapters: my own experimentation when I designed an on-screen font (The on-screen), 31 collected fonts linked to this subject and finally definitions and precisions to make everyting clearer.

Some change are made between the print and the on-screen version. I tried to use the best typeface for each medium. The print version is written in Garamond while the on-screen version in Verdana.

The on-screen version included hyperlinks to simplify the navigation. Moreover, It allows you to see and compare the different on-screen typefaces on screen!
